Match Report

Written by Ian McKay
Turned up to find I had the unenvious decision of first pick and extra man.

I say this as for me it was the nightmare number of 15. Thinking do I go for the seven of the eight. The eight meaning that Woody and I would be on the same side. I fatefully decided for the seven.

The game started fairly evenly with both sides creating but failing to take chances. The whites suddenly scored twice. The first was rather fortuitous however as I say the second followed. The yellows then pulled one back but that was immediately countered by an excellent strike from Dave Owen who at the moment is the man in form. (That was my second mistake in the changing room not picking Dave first).

The yellows plugged away however to no avail and the the whites scored three more to make it six.

The whites thoroughly deserved their win, however I thought the score was a little harsh on the yellows who carried on to the end.

Congratulations to Nick and hopefully I will learn from my ineptitude when it comes to picking.
