After 3 weeks of not playing football due to illness, I was given the picking board to have the second game with Chris. With the first game being down by 8 - 3, there were quite a few goals to pull back. Unfortunately a lot of the big scorers were not available so the odds did not look good, but I felt I had picked a good enough team on the night to win the match.

The game started evenly with chances both ends. Geoff was pulling off some good saves in goal, as Andy E and Mac had gone close on a few occasions. At the other end I had to pull off some amazing saves to deny Chris's team from taking the lead. Thirty-five mins had gone and it was still 0-0, but unknown to me Mac had not played for a number of weeks so he had a stint in goal. I swapped positions but could not breach the solid defense that Chris had built!. Whites were starting to turn the screw, and eventually came out 3-0 winners.

Well done Chris, good luck in the Captains Cup. Also well done to the team I picked as although a man down, we didn't stop trying.
