On a hot and sultry evening in Vauxhall it was time to play the 1st round Captain’s cup game between Gary and Nick B.
The 6 a side lined up as follows

Within 15 minutes of kick off Gary was 3-0 to good via goals from Gary, Noel and a net buster from Mike. But the Whites were not done with and fought back to 3-2 and then 4-3 by about half time.

Chris was doing an excellent job in the White defence but unfortunate an old injury started to take its toll. As whites pushed to try to get back on terms, Gary’s boys took advantage of the additional space and Chris’s incapacity to slot home a number of goals with Noel and Gary acting as an effective strike partnership. By the time it got to 7-3 is was game over and time to put the white’s out of their misery. 10 out of 10 for the efforts from boy’s in white with Harvey and Dave putting in full shifts.

Looks like the Captain’s cup will have to wait for another year for the Doc.
