Second week of the season and traditional Plus 30's weather in evidence already on a wet night down at Vauxhall. Laurie's first game for a while saw him thrust straight into a Cup Semi, hardly fair but that's us! To make matters worse he lost the toss giving me the advantage in another "full house" game.

A tightly fought encounter, with whites peppering the yellow 's goal several times early on with some slick counter attacking moves. Meanwhile yellow's peppered the field behind the goal - where was last week's ball boy when you needed him? Deadlock broken, Ben played in Andy M down the left, who neatly crossed to Gary, who for once did not miss from a yard out!

Yellow's rallied with Richie hurling a succession of missiles in from the side line ( agree with Geoff, we should ban those!) . One such effort nearly resulted in a "hand of God" situation, but it was in fact the hand of Geoff - thank you for your honesty Geoff! In a replica move of the first goal, whites clinched it, although I can 't remember who scored it ?

So 2-0 and thank you to my team mates for a sterling effort all round.
