With the Whatsapp going crazy with late casualties it was becoming a close run thing if there was going to be a game or not. The lack of a changing room key also threw up the possibility of us all dropping our trousers in the car park to make a 8:00 kick off. As it was, the key arrived and we had the minimum 6 vs 6. With the numbers low, I won the all important coin toss and stole the advantage of first pick. This prove crucial and allowed me to set out a team with the pace of Gary, Dead eyed accuracy of Mac, Stalwart goalkeeping of Ken, and a wall of Neil and Paul at the back.
This proved too much for the whites and a deadly combinatioin of tireless running and finishing from Mac and Gary helped us run into a quick lead which we defended and built on over the hour with the final score of 8-2 reflecting the dominance of the yellows.
