While some of us were enjoying a cosy cheese and wine evening 12 of us faced the arctic weather condition at the Vauxhall leisure centre.

After losing 1-0 to Andy H in the first leg it was my turn to pick first. With such a poor turn out picking first is always going to be key advantage ... but would i be able to finally break my horribeeeuuuul run of 3 consecutive losses??

We started well but were struggling to score and were punished for it when Andy H scored a very scrappy goal; 1-0 down. Here we go again ... I started to worry a bit! Ken even had to pull a couple of very unorthodox saves to keep us in the game. Legend!

Anyway we did not panic, kept our shape, kept using the full width of the pitch well and our great passing finally started to open cracks in their defense. We soon caught up on and started to pull away despite Andy H and Chris best efforts. Great team performance all over the pitch from the Yellows with every outfield player scoring. Brian could even have had a brace but Dave decided otherwise. 

Final score: 9-2.

My MOM would have to go to Dave O for his endless movements and deadly finish on the night. Hoping a quick recovery to big Paul who might have pulled a thigh muscle. 

So yes it finally happened!! Et non i am not referring to my first win in ages or even to the late appointment of big Sam .... no I'm talking about Woody completing his hat trick of nutmegs for the season. After Macca and Alan it was Blake's turn to be the victim of Woody's quick feet. Bravo.
