Last Wednesday night was a very cold and wet night, possibly the reason why we only managed 7 aside. I had 1st pick on this occasion and was down 3-1 to Paul after our first encounter..so there was a lot to make up. The game started with a brilliant header from my 1st choice player Gary..the only thing was, it was into our own net..not a good start. We then very quickly conceded another via Mr Sheen senior. So 2 down within the first 10 minutes.

The yellows after being overwhelmed in the first quarter, I feel settled down and began to play some decent football only to be matched by the whites with chances to both sides. I swapped with Ian as I'm clearly a liability in goal. The yellow team then started to find some form, there was some great play between Andy Eyres, Ben & Gary which cumulated in not only getting back on level terms but the yellows went 3-2 up. The whites then got back into the game again and through Brian, the scores were level again.

As we all know teams of seven aside quite often come down to how many good young legs you have in your team. But after some great football from both sides the yellows had a good spell with some great goals from Gary and Ben.

The game finished 6-3 to the yellows...just enough of a goal difference to keep me out of the duffers. So good luck Paul in duffers..it was a very tight call.
