My Dad, my Brother in Law and I arrived with one minute to go. I didn’t really feel up for the match but the clock struck 19:50 and the Wednesday night adrenalin kicked in. I also noticed that Richie wasn’t there which always cheers everyones night up 

It was Ross and I’s turn to pick again. I had first pick and (in true tradition) I went for my Dad. It was at that point that I remembered the first leg. Ross had first pick and went for my Dad first. A real Blue Shites trick. I wondered if he would pick Dave O and continue the mind games but he went for Gary and 5 minutes later the scene was set. It was my receding slightly Grey hair versus Ross’s beautifully healthy quiff.

Ross’s team (Yellows) applied pressure for the first 5-10 minutes but the Whites quickly settled. The combination of Dave Os driving forward and Bens Firmino like touch (I know he will love that) enabled us to press high up the pitch. Big Geoff’s goal keeping talent and experience also gave us the security to attack

Ben opened the scoring after Daves cross from the right was spilled by the keeper. The Whites really found their stride after that with some great footballing moves. Andy Mealor grabbed the second and deserved more considering his efforts through out the match. The Yellows could have made it 2-1 in the second half but a worldie save by Geoff kept the nerves away. Ben scored our third and his second completing and excellent counter attack
