I hadn't played in 3 weeks, so in true plus 30s tradition I was asked to pick on my first game back. It was the 2nd leg and I needed to pull back a deficit of 6 goals. I had first pick but it was even sides and the picking was very close, with both sides evenly matched.

I think Yellows scored first with a well worked tap in from Andy. The goal was coming for ages but you need a high ratio of shots on target before you get one in when Geoffs in goal. Yellows were definitely the better side and were passing the ball well. At one point there was a mad scramble for the 2nd goal with about 5 shots on target, all blocked by bodies and woodwork. Finally the ball came towards me on the volley and I smashed it into the top corner, 2-0.

We kicked off and I was tying my lace....2-1. Ben somehow scored. Didn't see what happened but it was pretty much unexpected. We kicked off again and we held possession for the last 20 minutes. We had a few shot on goal and one rebounded out and I passed it to Neil outside the box, who smashed it into the back of the net. Great finish 3-1.

Game needed 3-1. It felt like more. Well done to Dave who won the game in the first leg really. We probably could have scored more but needed more time and Geoff not to be in goal.
