Andy E (Yellows) vs Sylvan Deschamps (Whites)
First game back for the new season and I was handed the picking board!
Went for first pick on this occasion, and I think picking experience told on this occasion.
My teams value coming in at £89 million and the whites a mere £24 million, and who said football was all about money!
Anyway, game started off pretty even with both teams easing their way into the game as both captains started in goal.
A few half chances went by for both teams until a swift move from the yellows put us 1-0 up with Ali taking the first goal.
We kept a 1-0 lead for around 10 minutes until Dave Owen found some space on the byeline and put a low cross across the box for Ben to tap home unmarked at the back post.
We soon went 2-1 up with Mac taking a well worked goal, and placing his effort past Sylvan in goal.
Soon after we went 3-1 up as a change of keepers at both ends, Richie picking the ball up at right back and hitting an effort from distance for probably the goal of the night.
Yellows were now well on top, so Crazy Horse went up front for the last 5 minutes, and almost got a goal. Further goals from Gary and Ali put added gloss on a thoroughly professional performance.
MOM is hard to pick, as all my team were top drawer on the night, but it has to go to Gary for his effort and workrate, finished off with a great goal.
