Perfect conditions for football but only 12 checked in playing so plenty hard work to come.  Dave and myself picking for 2nd leg early in the season I was 3-2 down so still in with a chance.

Object of game with low numbers keep the ball and make opposition knacker themselves out trying to win it back and with Gary’s pace I felt we could also score goals. Well it didn’t start like that Whites pressed high early on with Johny and Chris working hard forcing unforced errors from yellows giving ball away but resolute defending from all didn’t come to much danger. I was playing in defence with Paul allowing me space on the right so I had a few long range shots early on one of which Dave made a hash of in goal 1.0 Yellows, sorry Dave was a bad as me being in goal!!.

Yellows settled from then on keeping the ball well between Harvey in nets, Paul and myself knocking around at back then into midfield who were all working tirelessly. A few half chances for both teams with Johnny’s deflected shot powering against the bar and Benjamin hitting side netting after great work from Gary,  all in all looking like no more goals meaning 2 points and an aggregate draw.

With 5 mins remaining Gary worked an opening right of goal, looking like being snuffed out Andy’s great movement along with a great pass in the net it goes !! cool left foot finish 2.0

That was pretty much it with time running out Yellows calmly passed the the ball around in our own half seeing out time, hard work from both teams good game overall.

After the 1st leg being snatched from me via the only known foul throw given in +30 history I was more than happy to progress into Captains cup which is a miracle in itself, unlucky Dave good close games.

MOM- All yellows deserve a slice but Gary takes award.
