As we have the team details already collated on our wonderful new website I'll not waste your time by repeating them...Haha
Dave Woods...£11,300,000...third most valuable and top of the table - two games, two wins, four points! Can we end the season now please?
Paired with Mac and having won the toss for choice I went with the 'first-pick' option. Picking went much as I'd expected and hoped though I did miss a couple of 'first-choicers'. In the first half I was beginning to have my doubts although we defended stoutly we didn't seem to be able to hold onto the ball particularly well or create any clear-cut chances on goal despite the herculean efforts of Sheeny up front and the clever interplay of my midfield quartet of Richie, Andy A., Carl and Paul. Thanks, though, to the hard work of the aforementioned midfielders and my back three of Neil, Harvey and Lawrie we managed to limit the White shirts to just a couple of opportunities, closest being a close-range shot from the mercurial new boy, Chris, which I managed to push around the post having guessed correctly which side he'd place it (a save reminiscent, I'm assured, of Kenny at his best!).
Changing ends at half-time seemed to be the key for the Yellows to go on and claim what had earlier seemed to be at best unlikely - a thoroughly deserved 3-0 win and this despite my best efforts to throw the ball in my own net!. Goals from Sheeny (at his rampaging best) and two from Andy A.
Each member of the team played at the top of their game but I have to agree with Sheenie when he claimed Neil was 'man of the match'. Thanks boys!
