The second game between Steve and I with me 2 nil up from the first game. It was slim pickings due to tonight being derby night and plenty choosing to watch the game rather than play. 6 v 6 and I had first pick. Looking at my team my prediction that the team with the highest value tends to win makes for an interesting post match discussion. I chose to play in white and as per the norm as captain chose to start in goal.
With plenty of room on the pitch it was a game for passing with the early exchanges going the way of the whites. Some neat interchanges and we were soon 1 up courtesy of Sylvain. We were bossing the game and seen plenty of chances go wide or saved. We were solid at the back and easily soaked up the pressure the yellow side occasionally had and hit them on the break, 2 nil with a smart shot from Laurie.
I chose to come out and Laurie replaced me in goal. Some good play from the yellows brought a great save low down to the left from Laurie in a match that would see some really good goal keeping. We were in control though and were soon 3 up courtesy of another well worked goal from Mark A.
10 minutes from time and we should have had number 4, a blistering shot from Sylvain brought a great save from Steve G which we now know broke his wrist - ouch, A and E until 4am was the outcome and in a cast for Steve, Great save though mate.
A consolation goal fo yellows courtesy of Jonny and it ended 3 - 1 to whites.
Another great game. Hope to see you back soon Steve. Good luck in the duffers.
