Yellows - Harvey, Tom, Blake, Bren, Nick, Brian, Ghost (we will come back to this player later).
Whires - Chris, Sylvain, Andy, Jonny, Jay, Paul

Score 1-0 to the yellows.

Low on numbers meant plenty of running was going to be needed so I think both Chris and myself thought it was best to try and get a few runners in the team straight away.  On paper the sides looked fairly even and as it turned out the paper was correct.

I actually don't remember too much of the game, I think this may have been something to do with a lack of oxygen to the brain.  What I do remember.

Chris made quite a few good saves with his feet.

Bren made a few good saves.

Brian skillfully tried to play a one to two with the goal post or was it just a miss hit.

Bren deciding to have a lie down and pinball wizard taking place and the ball being cleared off the line.

Bren played well when he was using his hands and less said the better when using his feet.

Chris coming off his goal line and doing star jumps to put Tom off shooting, I think he had been watching a handball goalkeeper.  However, it did work.

Plenty of shots going over the bar and the fence.

Overall the game was close with some good football.  The chances to each side were fairly even and the score could easily have been 3 or even 4 each.  Good keeping and poor finishing meant that going into the last 15 minutes the game was nil nil.

Back to the Ghost.  The ghost had already been involved in the game in the first 5 minutes when Jay was breaking up the field he just fell over.  I have that down as a good tackle.  The decisive intervention was when the ghost made a great tackle on Sylvain, who decided for some reason to fall over with no one around him.  The yellows picked up the ball and a quick break allowed Tom to square the ball to Nick to make it one nil.

Some hard work at the end of the game by yellows saw us over the line for a 1-0 win.

MOM goes to Brian for some solid definding.
