No match reports submitted for the last couple of weeks and it's no fun when I can't take away points! I can only assume Hackett was not playing this week in protest, as his winning run of 2 from 2 failed to get the acknowledgement it deserves.

A friendly game this week. Dave and I captains. I won the toss and opted to have the extra man, but even with the extra man, the whites had plenty of talent throughout their side, and Jay, so I knew a competitive game lay ahead.

The ball was kicked off and shortly after Brian got his first touch, receiving the ball in the right back position, taking a moment to decide what to do and then kicking it straight out of play. Superb. Fortunately he improved after that.

I can't remember the order of the goals, but I think it was our centre back / second striker Nathan who scored the first two. Cush added another with a cool strike outside the area into the bottom corner and Richie got a tap in. Richie could have bagged a second but his teammate Stewie was there to get in the way and block his effort to Richie's dismay.

A tough game for the Whites who battled and put up a good fight for the full 60+1 minutes, but the extra man meant the yellows always had the cover they needed at the back.

MoM - Chris was everywhere he was needed on the pitch, whether it was covering players getting forward, running the flanks, or tripping over his own feet and onto his arse to save a corner. Well played.
