It was a lovely evening, with a beautiful sunset, and the Astra Turf at Vauxhall's had been refurbished.
There was a good selection of players, and both sides seemed balanced in the picking.
Having completed our usual two touch passing, and bursting the net in the 'warm up', both sides were ready to do battle in this very prestigious competition.

Alistair was first to score for Dave G, and the outcome seemed settled.
Ken, in goal for Nick, appeared to get in the way of everything that came his way.
Dave G was relaxing in goal, enjoying the evening, giving the occasional vocal guidance.
When "BANG" "BANG" "BANG" Chris, Gary, and Blake decided to spoil it all.
Dave G did not know where the shots came from, as he didn't see them.
Picking three balls out of the back of the net is extremely painful, especially when you have had so little to do beforehand.
How could these guys spoil such a beautiful evening?

I would like to thank my team for their effort right, to the end and put the loss entirely on my shoulders, for the lack of concentration.
I promise to try and do better, and be less vocal in my approach.
