Match Report

Rich v Brian – battle of the baldy bell ends.

First and foremost, apologies from me for missing the report deadline, I should know better as longest serving member. Been away with work.

Also apologies for not pointing out personally displays in the below report, its been a long week so I’ve forgotten most. Jay should have stayed at home though, I remember that much!

6-6 first leg was an absolute classic. Second leg hoped to be another unforgettable occasion...

Traditionally both captains commenced the battle in goal, not intending to remain, however both decided to do so.

A quick pace to start of the game which continued throughout, both teams pressing but Richie’s yellows being the more dominant in the early stages.

Some slack defending encouraging the yellows to go 2 up in a matter of seconds, courtesy of fine finishes from Johnny and Nick. Shocking keeping from Baldy The Bulb, Jordan Pickford-Esque antics.

If I remember rightly the yellows went 3 up after a goal from Johnny again, romping to victory.

The whites managed a tremendous comeback with 3 stuffy deflections in a row, all sending Baldy Dickie the wrong way. Fuming!

Another goal from Johnny making it 4-3, and deservedly so in my opinion.

The whites were confident. The yellows bottling it.

James picked up a through ball and rounded the fat baldy keeper with an open net welcoming, however in true Darwin Nunez style he opened up his body and smashed the ball into the side netting. Miss of the season easily.

Surely luck was on the yellows side...

Final kick of the game saw a cross from (I can’t remember) wrong footing Richie who managed to reposition, collect the ball, and somehow bang against his knee putting the ball over the line.

4 all.

10-10 overall.

Down to the Vauxhall pitch end for penalties.

Baldy Richie managed to secure the win, 3-1, unlucky Baldy Brian you big Bulbous.

From what I understand young James gets a special mention (again)for 20 consecutive games without scoring.

Huge debate in the battle cruiser that Cush mathematically can’t loose the league. Very complicated.

MoM this week was Paul Hackett. All round great defencing and contribution and very proud of him for the season he’s having. Just hope he doesn’t die soon as he is getting on. Great man. Shit footballer. Legend.
