Match Report

Written by Paul Hackett

The worst playing conditions in +30 history, the ball stopping on the flooded pitch, Bren causing a Sunami when he saved a shot. Fantastic football in the circumstances.

11 v 10 - Andy E would turn in his grave if he was dead.

I reckon it was 4-0, Harvey reckons he won, Laurie said 2, but stat Gary said 3.

I cheated as I forgot to tell "Tee" (son-in-law's brother) to come into the dressing room & he was out on the pitch like a drowned rat - I just added him in to the whites & he played a blinder as did the other guests:
- Richie's dad "Honest Dave" as he's known in +60 was superb til he sloped off.
- Andy (my son) was good
- as was bro-in-law Ken.

The extra man was the difference plus Bren's string of saves.

Jay got the best goal, a superb half volley to the corner. It was actually meant to be a pass out wide?

MoM - apart from the guests, Gary W was ace despite just missing 5 shots. But it has to go to Nick for his superb goal-line clearance - what was he doing? Superb football though.

Thanks to you guys for a great night. The "ambiance" in the pub was brill. Thanks guys & particularly Richie organising the shirt & the deckies.  Why is he being so nice lately - has he got a 40th coming up or something?
