It was a blustery and bitterly cold night. Visibility was poor.
In spite of the game being fairly evenly balanced early on, it was not long before the Yellows went ahead with a goal from Nick E.
From then on, in spite of much endeavour from the Whites, the Yellows were able to dominate the game. There was fine work in defence for the Whites in the form of Brian Moses and Brendan Crilley.
Nonetheless, Johnny Greenall and Nick Smith both scored for the Yellows.
Jason Robinson tipped one over the bar but then bundled into his own net from Gary Parker’s strike, making it 4 nil.
There were a number of late corners for the Whites, but the Yellows managed to keep a clean sheet.
Eventually we all left the field drenched through to the skin. The Yellows got a well deserved victory, the Whites unable to breach their defence.
The final score was 4 nil to The Yellows.
Man Of The Match: Brian Moses for his sterling defence.
