Lots of guests called Tom made picking challenging on Wednesday as I had no idea who was who. Reuben obviously did, as I thought we’d walk the game after picking was done but it ended up being a good contest.

I’ve slept since the game so struggling with the scoring order and couldn’t remember the score after about 15 minutes which Cush kindly reminded me “you should know how many you’ve conceded”. What I do know is that resident Tom held the ball up very well for Dave O and Gary W to run off and create chances.

Blake, Pete and Cush managed the game from the back and with me in goal that was vital as I’m no Bren. We did switch for the final ten mins putting Pete between the sticks and he contracted Tourettes and shouted more words at us than anyone could understand.

Some good standard guests played this week which is positive for the start of next season, hopefully we’ve not scared them off.
